It bears good, regular crops of tasty, red flushed, yellow brown pears in autumn. The fruit has excellent flavour and very melting flesh. Pyrus communis 'Beurre Hardy' can grow in a wide range of soils, loamy, sandy and calcerous, but thrives in fertile, neutral, moist, well drained
